i am redoing my room and i have a good idea of what i want but my rents are on a budget so where could i get cheap but cute furniture?

Check craigslist, for real. I love looking on there for furniture to redo, as a hobby. You can paint cheap tables or refinish beds. Ppl get rid of nice stuff on there all the time.
Also, look in your local online classifieds. I furnished my whole living room for under $1000 with brand new furniture. Lots of times, realtors need to unload the new furniture they used for model homes and sell it super cheap. That’s how I got mine.
Ebay is a great place to start your search. You can find almost any item there. You may also check your local thrift stores to shop for slightly used furniture at bargain prices.
