Where can i find cheap chair covers?
January 26, 2010
The reception site we're using is very elegant but the chairs are horrible. I want to rent some chair covers but we're already over budget (and we still have a lot to get). Does anyone know somewhere in kansas city or close by that rents cheap chair covers? THANKS!

I was reading online because I too need some. A lady on this website I don’t remember said tha she took whatever color pillow cases and folded them up twice and pinned them and then put a bow where she pinned it and put a sash on it. She said is was extremely inexpensive. Another lady used garbage bags the same way. Not really sure how that one worked. I found the website. Just scroll down and you will see what some ladies have put on there.

I actually bought chair covers on Ebay, used them and then turned around and sold them within a week. I was out the money for about a month, but I got it right back. I put the covers on my cc and then paid it off at the end of the month. Renting them will cost anywhere from $1.50 and up each..plus if you want a sash that will cost also. We bought colored tule for the sashes, still cheaper than renting and like I said, got some of the money back.
I’ve searched. All chair covers add up to a fairly substantial cost by the time you consider how many you really need. The best prices are probably online. The best I’ve found is

I’ve heard some horror stories about using chair covers that have been shipped based on how wrinkly they are when they arrive–but if you have to have them this may be best.
If the chairs don’t completely clash with your scheme, it seems rather likely that no one will notice they are ugly they way you are–so maybe you can skip the covers and it won’t matter at all!
Try Ebay. Also, ask on the local wedding board on theknot.com for recs for local vendors in your area.
Our venue wanted to charge us $8 per chair! We are getting them for $3.75 each, including bow. Not cheap, but better than $8. We went with an outside vendor.
Good luck.
