using lemons to clean wood furniture?
February 8, 2010
It was suggested to me to slice a lemon & rub it on older wood furniture to clean it. Isn't this too harsh?
Tks for answers; what about stripping & refinishing? Any ideas?

Lemon Pledge, sold in stores.Murphy’s oil soap cleans wood.
I’m not too sure but an excellent website for all sorts of tips

I would think the acid in the lemon and the rind would eventually affect the finish. Could it be they suggested lemon pledge, the aerosol spray ?
I wouldn’t advice it as the acid might eat away at the sealant of wood, try using a lemon based product for wood which should have the benefits of using lemon but without the possibility for harm.
