They are "L" shaped and the books rest on them and it prevents it from falling down.

When you first put books on a bookshelf, what is your preference towards arrangement/organization? Do you arrange them by height? Are they in categories? Also, do you pull them forward so that they are all even on the shelf? My boyfriend wonders why I don’t do it this way.
