Financing at Value City Furniture?????

June 14, 2010

Okay, I am moving out in May of this year. All i need is a sofa and loveseat or sectional. I have poor credit. (531) I am 23. but make descent $ at my current job. How does financing work at Value City Furniture? Because I've been hearing that you just have to apply for a credit card and they do it that way. If that's the case, i'm screwed. Or do they finance a different way, like a car loan?
Or does anyone know of anywhere that will give bad credit people like me a chance to get some furniture?
I am current on all of my bills, but on my credit report i've settled with my old credit cards, so that looks bad.
I don't want to go to a rent-to-own place, because they'll make me pay double what something is worth. And i don't really want to buy used furniture (craigslist), because that's kind-of gross.
I live near cincinnati, ohio.

  1. If you can get financing you will be charged an outrageous amount of interest. If you have a decent income you should save up and pay cash. It took me a couple of months to save for my first sofa, it makes when you do get it that more exciting. Good luck.
